Wave power

Wave energy allows for electricity generation thanks to the mechanical energy provided by the motion of the waves. Its advantages include the fact that it is a clean, inexhaustible source of power, as well as being autonomous and continuous, which makes it possible to generate electricity in an uninterrupted manner.

For this reason, throughout the last seven years, SENER has invested in an internal innovation program to design a wave power generator and is assessing the feasibility of implementing a prototype. 

Similarly, as part of this development, the SENERWave tool has been created to assess the provisions of this kind of fixed or floating device.
